Barcamps – which are all about sharing ideas and inspiring people – are fun events wherever they occur, and so we wanted to share news of the upcoming Barcamp Beijing 2012. It’ll be on August 5 (Sunday) in the city’s Jin Tai museum, starting at 9:30 AM. It’s free to go to, but you’ll need to register in advance.
[Updated] The organizers have reached out to us to explain the format:
Multiple talks will be held simultaneously in both Chinese and English. […] You get 10 minutes to pitch a thought, idea or issue using slides, audio, video, or even just the simple strength of your voice. This pitch will then be followed by a 10-minute interactive discussion between presenter and other participants to share and challenge different perspectives and ideas.
