Korea’s Yonhap News Agency is reporting that two arrests have been made in relation to an alleged hack of KT Corporation (SEO:017670; NYSE:SKM). Reportedly, some personal information on 8.7 million mobile phone subscribers was obtained, and it is suspected this information as then used illegally in telemarketing.
KT Corporation has apologized and claims to be taking steps to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
