Starting today, the Ministry of Communication and IT (MCIT) hosted the Indonesia Information Security Forum (IISF) in Bandung. The government would like to increase the protection of certain information and ensure the security of data not meant for public consumption. The chairman of the Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure (ID-SIRTII), Dr. Rudi Lumanto, said in March of this year that there are about 1.5 million cyber attacks targeting government sites everyday.
This event will continue tomorrow morning with the official opening ceremony by the Secretary General of MCIT, Dr. Basuki Yusuf Iskandar, representing the minister of MCIT, Tifatul Sembiring.
