The World Summit Award (WSA) Mobile Content has found its 40 winners across the eight competing categories. Here are the eight Asian apps that walked away with prizes:
- iButterfly from China (m-Business and Commerce)
- TownGas from China (m-Government and Participation category)
- National Library Board from Singapore (m-Government and Parcitipation category)
- Sekai Camera from Japan (m-Entertainment and Lifestyle category)
- Harpoen from Indonesia (m-Tourism and Culture category)
- Prognosis from Sri Lanka (m-Environment and Health category)
- Magic Reader from Japan (m-Inclusion and Empowerment category)
- Mobile Link Service from China (m-Inclusion and Empowerment category)
In February 2013, there will also be another announcement regarding the sole winner from each category during the awards event in Abu Dhabi.
