We’re less than 24 hours away from the event, and the Tech in Asia team is all gearing up to usher in precious guests and give readers online the great content that will be coming up during the conference itself.
As mentioned in Willis’ new year post, we will be largely focusing on the Southeast Asian region in our newest event, particularly Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines. To kick-start the entire conference, we’ll have entrepreneur and angel investor Darius Cheung (pictured right) to reveal the trends, findings, and opportunities that he has discovered regarding the opportunities available in Southeast Asia.
And for those who are unfamiliar with the Singapore startup scene, Darius is currently embarking on his second startup, BillPin. Prior to this, he was the co-founder of TenCube, which was acquired by McAfee back in 2010.
So what kind of opportunities does Darius see from an entrepreneur’s point of view? How should entrepreneurs effectively exploit the region, especially when you are dealing with different cultures, languages, and habits? More importantly, how should entrepreneurs go about tapping into the pool of users, such as those in rural areas?
And from an investor’s point of view, what kind of investment opportunities does Darius see in the Southeast Asian region? Will we be able to see the next Facebook emerging out of this region?
Darius’ coffee chat session is scheduled on April 4th, 9.15 to 9.45am, where we will understand from the second-time entrepreneur the trends, views, and the investment opportunities that he sees within this exciting region.
It’s the last day to grab your tickets, so do so now and join us in this exciting conference! See you tomorrow!
And of course, don’t miss any of the other speakers at Startup Asia Singapore 2013 either. That list includes:
