Our Startup Arena competition on February 2nd and 3rd is almost upon us. The startups lining up for Startup Arena are all pumped to pitch and battle for the top prize.

So far, we have selected more than 15 startups from Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore, to compete at Arena. These startups were chosen from the hundreds of applications we have received so far. So, if you think your startup has what it takes to compete, send your application pitch to our team here.

Below are some other quick updates on Startup Arena:

Arena Judges

Speaking of the judges, I’m honored to have the following entrepreneurs/investors (in alphabetical order) who will be taking seats on stage to give their expertise and thoughts at the Arena:

(1) Ash Singh, CEO at Interactive.SG | Investor at Angel’s Gate

(2) Daniel Saito, co-founder and director at SkySQL | Angel investor

(3) Eric Koh, CTO at Jobscentral | Partner at Iconic Ventures

(4) James Tan, Co-Founder, 55tuan | Managing Partner, QuestVC

We picked them because we know they are able to give straightforward comments without being too shy about it. Ash, Daniel, Eric, and James are also technically capable, they have experience building successful businesses, and most importantly they understand Asian markets.

You can find out more about them here.

Arena Prizes:

The Top Arena Winner will receive US$10,000 cash. (Co-sponsored by GREE Ventures, Crystal Horse Investments and our team.)

But wait, there’s more:

Nokia Lumia 800

Nokia Lumia 800

Lenovo E220s

Lenovo E220s

Lenovo E420

Lenovo E420

All Arena startups will only be announced at Startup Asia itself. That’s all for now. But do stay tuned!
