Dr. Serkan Toto, Independent Consultant, Japan Correspondent For TechCrunch
Serkan Toto is one of the more prominent bloggers covering startups and innovation across Asia on TechCrunch, Asiajin, and his own blog. He resides in Japan (speaks fluent Japanese too) and can often be seen at many tech conferences held across Asia. Serkan is a good friend of mine and has been very supportive on our work in Asia. So when we decided to do our Startups in Asia Singapore event, I knew Serkan would be someone that our team and our readers would be very excited to see on February 2nd and 3rd.
Serkan and I will have a 30-minute coffee chat session at Startups in Asia. In this coffee chat, I will pick his thoughts and opinions about startups in Southeast Asia and Japan. I will be extremely straightforward and I know he will be very transparent with his personal opinion too. Folks who are tracking his tweets would understand that. This recent tweet about startups in Asia says it all:
It’s a strong opinion but I’m sure Serkan has reasons to back it up. It occurred to me that the above tweet would be one of the main talking points for our coffee chat. Serkan is all set to give his opinion live on stage, on February 2nd from 11:10 – 11:40am.
