So I received an email announcement this morning about LG’s (SEO:003550) social Christmas promotion, which gives users a chance to win free phones like its Optimus 3D or Optimus Black. I didn’t think much of the contest until I noticed their gangsta ‘Lay-Z’ Santa promo video.
It looks as though someone in LG marketing broke out the eggnog a little early this year. The YouTube video they’ve put together is thoroughly cheeze-filled. The accompanying Facebook page invites fans to ‘like’ LG Mobile, and take a quiz for a chance to win their phones. LG CEO Dr. Jong-seok Park explained that
This event will serve as an excellent blueprint for further future promotions and we will continue to develop promotions and actively engage with our global fan base.
